Assuming you are preparing for the PM interview and you have watched a lot of YouTube Videos and still you are not able to crack the Interviews, I understand what the problem is.
There are the following problems why you are not able to crack the PM Interviews.
1.You are so wired to speak like them, asking questions that don’t even matter.
Let’s take an example: Imagine you are asked to design Instagram for Education. What you will do is ask clarifying questions like “Do we have time, Money, XYZ constraints?” and “What’s the goal of doing this?” and you will feel good that you have asked clarifying questions.
But the problem is you already lost some of the battle then and there. Let’s see how — These are mediocre questions. “What’s the goal of doing this?” — Why don’t you think about — What can be the goals, and according to you, what’s the goal you might think of first?
But the very first thing you need to think about is “Should Instagram do this? Why should they do this? Any early hypothesis and metrics are we seeing which may support this”
All these things you won’t get in the videos, but this is how we do it in the real product management. Also, now the interviewer can smell if you are reciting your answer and not thinking from the first Principle.
This course has multiple solved questions and Practice Concepts that wow the interviewer. Already helped a lot of folks giving a Google Interview in India
2.You are trying to cover as many questions as possible, but you are NOT going in-depth into any.
No matter if you have solved 100 Quesitons, 50+ mocks, you still will not be able to crack Interview because it’s not about 100 Practice Session rather it’s about 100 Iterations.
Every iteration, you need to think about what the delta ( Error ) is and try to fix that, if you are not doing you are not moving.
There is a difference between Displacement and Distance. You may end up going and spending time, but not moving.
3.You are not showing strategic thinking in the Question. You only talk about high-level strategy in strategy-based Questions.
For example, if you get a question — How would you improve YouTube Search?
Again, if you don’t talk about the Macro customer and Technological trends which might be shaping the feature or product for the future, you are losing the Game. Things like how LLM can change the Search Landscape in terms of Search Relevance, Search Experience and Search Ranking
The goal of the course is to make sure that you are cracking any PM interview.
These Strategy for Everyone and AI/Tech for Everyone will help you crack and any PM interview by telling you the key Strategic trends and insights.
